Facebook and Instagram no more!
October 31st I will be deactivating my facebook and personal instagram pages. I will be keeping my @sundayswithamber instagram page to post all things yoga for the time being. I made this decision because I am on social media too much. I realize that what I am looking for is a deeper connection to you. So…starting November 1st I will be sending bi-monthly newsletters that include reflections, poetry, personal life stuff and of course yoga stuff. My hope is that we can engage more through this platform.
I have also created some special classes as we move into the challenging fall and winter this year with the election and Covid-19. These include The Day Before The Election Class, Halloween Class, December 4th Abhyanga (self massage) Class, A Goddess 3 Week Series starting in October, and A Pranayama 4 Week Series in January. So check them out under workshops and special events.
I have a question for you. If I added another weekly yoga class what day and time would be ideal?
The Yoga & Ayurveda, Ultimate Self Care Retreat is still on for February 27 - Mar 6 2021 at Mar De Jade, Mexico. We are taking a smaller group this year and cancellation policies have been extended so that we can adjust if need be. Early Bird discount of $300 off until November 1st. Check it out under retreats!
For now, I will leave you with this beautiful poem by Tara Mohr I am reading in classes this week.
with so much gratitude for you! Amber
Quiet Power
I walked backwards, against time
and that’s where I caught the moon
singing at me.
I steeped downwards, into my seat
and that’s where I caught freedom
waiting for me like a lilac.
I ended thought, and I ended story.
I stopped designing, and arguing,
and sculpting a happy life.
I didn’t die. I didn’t turn to dust.
Instead I chopped vegetables,
and made a calm lake in me
where the water was clear and sourced and still.
And when the ones I loved came to it,
I had something to give them, and
it offered them a soft road out of pain.
I became beloved.
And I came to know that this was it.
The quiet power.
I could give something mighty, lasting,
that stopped the wheel of chaos,
by tending to the river inside,
keeping the water rich and deep,
keeping a bench for you to visit.
